Target Home Inspections — Florida’s Trusted Home Inspectors

Accessibility Statement

We want every visitor to be able to read this site, book an inspection, and reach us — whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

Target Home Inspection Co. is committed to making targetinspectionsflorida.com accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is something we keep working at rather than something we consider finished, and visitor feedback is a large part of how we find problems.

What we have done

This website ships with an accessibility tool built directly into every page. Open it using the accessibility button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. It offers:

  • Bigger text, in three steps
  • Increased line height, in three steps
  • Text alignment options
  • A more readable font
  • High contrast mode
  • Grayscale mode
  • Hide images
  • Pause animations
  • Highlight links
  • A reading mask
  • Stronger focus outlines
  • A page-structure navigator for jumping between headings and landmarks

Your selections are saved in your own browser's local storage, so the settings you choose stay applied as you move between pages and on your next visit from the same browser. Nothing about those settings is sent to us. You can reset them from inside the tool, or by clearing your browser's site data — see our Cookie Policy.

Alongside that tool, the site itself is built with:

  • A “skip to content” link, so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation
  • Semantic headings and landmarks in a logical order
  • Visible focus states on links, buttons, and form fields
  • Keyboard navigation throughout
  • Respect for your operating system's “reduce motion” setting — if you have it switched on, the site's animations are disabled automatically

The standard we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is our target and the standard we build and review against.

To be clear about what that means: this site has not been through an independent accessibility audit or certification, so we do not claim verified conformance at any level. If you find something on the site that falls short of that target, we would like to hear about it.

Known limitations

Some parts of this site are provided by third-party services and are rendered inside our pages by those providers. We do not control their code, so we cannot guarantee their accessibility, and their behaviour can change without notice on our side. These are:

  • Spectora — the online inspection scheduling tool embedded on our scheduling page
  • Google Maps — the map embeds showing our office location

Our customer reviews are no longer among them. They are built into this site, so they are keyboard accessible, work with screen readers, and stop moving on their own if you have asked your device to reduce motion.

If any of these blocks you from doing something, please contact us and we will help you directly. You never have to use the online scheduler to book with us — you can call or email and we will book the inspection for you.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you need information from it in a different format, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of the problem, and let us know the best way to reach you.

We read every accessibility report and will get back to you as quickly as we can. Where a fix will take us time, we will tell you that, and we will give you the information or service you were after another way in the meantime — over the phone or by email.
